Junior Guards

Junior Guards begins on Thursday July 10 , 2025

  • Pickup/drop off will still be at 1400 and Commonwealth at our South Shack
  • The duration of each session will be from 9:00 to 10:30 am
  • Friday dates will be July 11, 18, 25 & August 1, 8 for Fridays
  • Thursday dates for camp- July 10, 17, 24, 31  (August 7 will be added if weather postpones a session)
  • Junior Guard Race vs. Sea Isle, Ocean City, and other possible patrols: Date TBD
  • Friday Only Sessions: $60
  • Thursday/Friday Sessions: $90

Jr. Guards is a program for children ages 11-16 to learn lifeguarding skills such as paddle boarding, swimming, and kayaking.  Junior Guards will run from 9:00 am to 10:30 am this year.  We have found that the ocean conditions are much more conducive to training at these times. The program begins on July 10th and then meets every Friday for 5 weeks. It is important to make sure to sign up early! The program requires a payment of $60.  Jr. Guards will need to have a physical clearing them for athletic activity.  This can be a copy of the physical from school sports.  

Also, we are offering a two day program for $90. You can pay the additional $30 when you come on the first Friday. The additional practice day will be on Thursday from 9 to 10:30 am. Please make out checks to Upper Twp Lifesavers.

Our instructors will reach out to those signed up by the 2nd week of June with more details.  This is also when we will deposit checks received.
